A Little Bit of History
Chuck and Lisa Burke started the business in 1988 in Kihei, Hawaii and over the years successfully grew the business and their reputation for integrity and dependability. In August 2021 the torch was passed to the Clarkson brothers, Scott and Chris – no strangers to the world of window coverings and home improvement in general.
Before taking the reins from Chuck and Lisa, Scott had established himself as a successful general contractor who had been focusing on residential remodeling projects throughout Maui, with the majority of projects centered in Kihei, Hawaii. In addition the Clarkson brothers grew up in the blind business, working for their father who ran Paradise Blinds in the 80’s and 90s.
Building blinds in the warehouse and providing installations for Maui residents taught the Clarksons valuable insight that will help propel Island Window Covering in the future.
